40 days and 40 nights

I really don’t know where to start on this blog. The last few days since getting back to Georgia I have had some time to rest and process the things that the Lord did on the trail, and looking back, the hand of God was so evident it’s crazy. This was a very personal journey for everyone involved, but at the same time the Lord orchestrated this time for all of us together because there were things that he wanted us to challenge each other in. We learned tons about the body of Christ supporting itself. In spiritual ways and physical. The conditions we were living in were harsh, and the time would have been miserable had everyone not lain themselves down and supported each other.

There is so much fruit and growth that I can see in myself and others on the trip, but I’m not sure if I can put it into words for you to read. I think that’s part of the mystery of God pursuing our hearts. If I could give you a twelve point process on intimacy with the Father based on one persons experience, it would probably be next to useless for you. Because everything that makes you the person you are is unique. This was a huge learning process for me as I endeavored to help lead the group. There is a beautiful symphony that occurs when in unison a group of people receive a different “note” or “word” from the Lord. It takes shape into the bride and body of Christ as one. And I feel like on the trail we only scratched the surface of what this is going to look like. There was a host of you that supported us in prayer while we were on the trail, and you were a part of this piece of music as well. The Lord is moving among his people and it’s a beautiful thing to see.

I’m sorry for this blog being a little abstract. It would just take more words then I can post here to paint the picture of what the Lord did on the trail if I used the stories and details that we lived. Hopefully we can share them personally with you all. Thank you so much for all the support!
